My Tuesday Night Quiz Night @ The Village Hotel, Bury, Greater Manchester.

My Tuesday Night quiz itself is held in The Victory Pub, which is the name of the bar within the Village Hotel in Bury and it is my second Quiz Night of the week and can be found just off junction 18 on the M66. Looking like all Village Hotels throughout the country it's unmistakable when you find it. The staff are friendly and helpful and it has it's own well equiped and busy kitchen serving all manner of really good quality pub grub in ample amounts. Many of the locals and residents eat there first and then stay on to do the quiz.
Due to the to the fact it is a hotel you never can tell just how many teams will get to play the quiz each week, it can be as few as three one week and then as many as eighteen the next, but as with all quizzes it does fluctuate, more so than with a normal pub depending how many are staying in the hotel, holidays and televised football coverage (which is has priority over the quiz). The teams that take part can range from 11 year olds (with their parents) right up to the over 80's, all doing my very own green, eco-friendly, recyclable, low carbon footprint general knowledge and music quiz. As well as the quiz I also host the big board game "Play Your Cards Right" with a big money jackpot each week. I always tie this in with the envelope game where you can win £1, £5, or £10. giving the chance for somebody to win at least some money each week.
